Our Privacy Policy

Who we are:

We are Stoke Gabriel Cricket Club, a Community Amateur Sports Club, based near Stoke Gabriel in South Devon.

Our website address is: https://stokegabrielcricketclub.co.uk

The type of personal information we collect:

We currently collect and process the following information:

    • Your Name(s), email address, and possibly your telephone number (if submitted).
    • We may use a 3rd party payment gateway (Stripe Inc.) to collect one-off and recurring payments and we DO NOT retain payment information. Stripe Inc. communicates with the website (using encryption technology) to manage your subscription (whether payment is successful or not). This status is the only information that Stripe shares with us and that we retain.

How we get the personal information and why we have it:

Most of the personal information we process is provided directly by you for the purpose of managing your account/membership (our contractual obligation to you)

Part of our Licensing agreement with the Local Authority requires that ONLY members may use the bar, which is why up-to-date membership information is collected and retained.

As aforementioned, we indirectly receive encrypted data from our 3rd party payment gateway regarding the status of your subscription payments.

We use the information you have given us to:

    • To ensure that you are a registered member of the club, and to manage this membership.
    • Ensure that payments are accurate and timely.
    • To communicate with you as part of your membership.

UK GDPR Lawful Basis for processing this information:

    • We have a “contractual” obligation as a “Members Only” Club (our licensing agreement requires this up-to-date information)
    • With your consent (indicated on every form you complete on the website)

You are able to remove consent at any time by either using the links at the bottom of any of our e-communications with you, or by using the “Contact Us” form.

How we store your personal information:

Your information is securely stored.

We keep your information (as listed above) whilst our contract (your membership) is current.

If our contract(membership) lapses, then we will retain your data for one month (28 days) from the date of the lapse. We will then dispose of your data by deleting your records from all of our databases.

We do NOT keep paper records of your personal data.

Embedded content from other sites:

We, from time-to-time, share content from other websites on our website (such as the Devon Cricket League Website, Social Media Platforms etc.)

Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We use the Google Fonts on this website.  The Google Fonts API collects your IP address, and the “User Agent” data (Browser type and OS etc.) that you are using.  Your continued use of this site implies consent for this use by the Google Fonts API.

That said, we currently use a 3rd party plugin to locally host these Google Fonts and prevent the use of the Google Fonts API, but on occassion, this may fall-back to sharing the data specified above, in the manner specified above.  We make every effort to prevent this.  More information can be found here.

Who we share your data with:

Data collected by the website may be shared internally (within the Stoke Gabriel Cricket Club committee) to ensure that members receive all of their benefits.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

We DO NOT share your data with any 3rd party, unless required to comply with a lawful request.
